InSight Psychology and Behavioral Health Services is seeking two full-time postdoctoral fellows with a passion for clinical psychology as it relates to diverse and challenging populations.
We are a diverse, multidisciplinary group of providers whose primary goal is to offer services with integrity and conscientious care. Our services include psychotherapy, telehealth, psychoeducation, psychological evaluations, consulting, testing, workshops and seminars. At InSight, mental health diagnosis, assessment and treatment are carried out with professionalism, compassion and competence. We understand that health is a comprehensive state of being that is impacted by mental, physical and cultural influences. It is with this wholistic view that we approach treatment and assessment.
Populations Served by our practice: General Public, Veterans, Police Officers, Disability Applicants, Department of Family and Protective Services clients.
Clinical Psychology Program:
Our program entails clinical work with a diverse client population in a group practice setting. The program provides exposure to clients referred from multiple sources including commercial insurance companies, foster care agencies, medical clinics, local police departments, the Veterans administration, Disability Determination Services and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Clients come in all age ranges with multiple identities and varied socioeconomic status.
Trainees will simultaneously manage a therapy caseload while gaining experience with forensic and clinical assessment and testing. One-on-one face to face supervision and group consultation will support the trainee as he or she navigates the training process. Our practice focuses on collaborative, integrated care and emphasizes the importance of collaboration with other healthcare disciplines.
Supervision and Learning:
2 hours per week, individual, face-to-face supervision
Monthly All-provider Meeting: Consultation, Continuing Education, Private Practice Management
Weekly Learning Opportunities (2 hours)
Goals:
Upon completion of our program, the trainee will have met or exceeded the 1750 hours required for licensure in The State of Texas.
Requirements:
Doctorate from an APA accredited Doctoral Program preferred but open to other qualified applicants.
APA accredited pre-doctoral internship or APPIC Member Internship preferred but open to other qualified applicants.
Strong work ethic.
Passion for mental health.
Desire for a private practice career track.
Ability to hold 25 counseling sessions per week.

Stipend:
$51,000.00
Listed stipend is based on a combination of therapy sessions and psychological evaluations. This is a private practice setting and pay is based solely on direct care to clients. Expect 4 to 12 week ramp up period to full caseload.

- The trainee will develop enhanced psychotherapy skills using evidence-based treatment modalities.
- The trainee will gain experience in Trauma-Informed Care.
- The trainee will develop high-level documentation and charting skills that meet standards for submission in court.
- The trainee will gain exposure to assessment to include clinical interview, test administration and report writing.
- The trainee will gain experience in psychoeducational instruction and may teach components of the SAMSHA approved Nurturing Parenting Program.
