Group Practice
When I ask clinicians, Why join a group?; responses range from "People are fun" to "I'm retiring and need a side gig".  Motives differ, but there are certain expectations that seem to universally resonate with therapists. The 3-C's, collaboration, consultation and camaraderie, stand out as the driving force behind those who take the group practice leap. On some level, each of the the 3-C's is synonymous with belonging, which is part of our genetic makeup. We are social beings, continuously seeking engagement and interaction in most aspects of our lives. Many times we seek like-minded folks, but when we desire to stretch our minds and enhance our souls, we go for folks that differ from ourselves in unique and intriguing ways. In the group practice setting, it's this professional flexing of the mind that facilitates growth, expansion and a uniquely honed therapeutic skill set.

From InSight's Founder:
​The mental health field brings unique challenges that set us apart from other healthcare disciplines. We form meaningful, helping relationships with our clients that impact our lives as much as theirs.  And many of us come to mental health because of our own distinctive life experiences. When I established InSight, I envisioned a practice where clinicians feel valued, supported, and free to use their expertise in creative, client centered ways.  This is a place where identity,  independence and autonomy are embraced, along with recognition of the value of consultation and professional guidance.
         Since its inception in 2009, InSight has grown from one solo provider to a diverse, multidisciplinary group of clinicians whose unique backgrounds and identities have  contributed to the success of our clients.  Clinicians come to us with valuable assets, and in turn, we provide the medium in which they can put their expertise to use.  InSight is a solution focused environment where progress, not perfection, fuels our professional momentum. We know that problems arise and when they do, I and the rest of our team are here for support. 
          This is the kind of work environment I longed for in my early years in the mental health field.  And I am immensely gratified that InSight can now offer a group practice experience that enhances the lives of both clients and providers.  Workplaces demand our time. We owe it to ourselves to demand a positive and life enhancing workplace!

​The "Hybrid"

A hybrid is created by combining different elements to form a whole, and that is exactly what we do here at Insight!  We merge consistent contract work with typical private practice referrals, so the referrals keep coming. Clinicians see private-pay clients, those covered by insurance and clients referred by the Department of Family and Protective Services. As clinicians find their preferred population, they balance their caseloads based on practice referral volume and personal niche. In the span of a year, a caseload can be crafted into the ideal mix that reflects the providers unique skill set and interests. Whether you're still finding your niche or have an established target population, InSight can move you toward your professional goals. If you've been in other group practice settings, you'll recognize the InSight difference!
