Online Assessment
Law Enforcement, Private Security
Dr. Ballard offers online pre-employment psychological evaluations and fitness-for-duty assessments for peace officers, constables, security officers, jailers, dispatchers, and other law enforcement or security roles.
Psychological evaluations are vital for both officer performance and public safety. That’s why multiple screening tools, a thorough clinical interview, and a comprehensive mental status exam are utilized to help departments hire officers who serve the public safely and competently.

A psychological evaluation takes into account past, present and future psychological wellbeing. Likewise, fitness for duty is determined based on extensive life history from childhood through the moment of the evaluation. Advanced psychological tests are used to help gain valuable insight into personality, the way a candidate relates to others, and how a candidate interprets and navigates through the world. All information is used to determine fitness for high level, critical decision making, interpersonal intelligence and ability to perform in life and death circumstances.
Results of the evaluation may be given the same day or up to a week later depending on the intricacies of the case. The most common form of results delivery is email directly to the agency or department.
All decisions are based on the professional opinion of the examining psychologist. Decisions are final and cannot be appealed or challenged.
