Emily Breedlove, LPC

Thank you for coming to my page! I’m Emily Breedlove (they/she), MA, MM, LPC. I help clients move toward more vitality, joy, and peace in their lives using my mental health knowledge in combination with clients’ self-knowledge. Based on my clients’ stated needs–and emergent issues within sessions–I approach therapy from a person-centered, trauma-informed, embodied, expressive, LGBTQIA+-informed, disability-informed, anti-racist standpoint. As a client of mine, you’ll be able to express, clarify, and explore through words, of course. When words don’t suffice, I can help you use image, music, poetry, literature, fandoms, video games, and movement to help you put words to your feelings–or even to just feel better. You’ll also learn how you can work with, not against, your nervous system to help you feel better quickly. I earned my Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Lesley University and my Master’s degree in music from San Francisco Conservatory. I’m a certified yoga instructor, as well as a lifelong musician, writer, and stage performer. As a queer ADHDer, I’m excited to continue to learn about myself and my clients through continuing education in Autism and ADHD, as well as in trauma approaches and the mind-body connection.
