Allison Stuppy-Sullivan, PhD

Dr. Allison Stuppy-Sullivan (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She believes that we all are doing the best we can AND that we can make improvements and decrease distress with the right support and strategies. Her approach is informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Dr. Stuppy-Sullivan collaborates with clients, adopting a curious and nonjudgmental stance, identifying targets for change, and applying support and skills based on client goals and values.

Dr. Stuppy-Sullivan has been providing psychological services to individuals and groups since 2016 and earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Yale University in 2021. Prior to joining InSight, Dr. Stuppy-Sullivan gained experience working with adults and adolescents in intensive outpatient, community mental health, substance abuse treatment, prison, and VA outpatient clinic settings. She completed her APA- accredited Psychology Internship at the Austin VA, providing assessment and treatment services across multiple VA clinics.
Dr. Stuppy-Sullivan uses a range of evidence-based techniques based on her experience working in diverse teams across a variety of settings. She welcomes clients of all ethnic backgrounds and minority statuses (e.g. BIPOC, LGBTQ+).
When she is not working, Dr. Stuppy-Sullivan enjoys cooking, exercising, and spending time with her husband, children, and dog.
