Tina Gombakomba, LPC

Tina Muzangaza is a warm and empathic Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. She has vast experience working with clients with acute symptoms resulting from severe mental diagnoses. She specializes in other areas including depression, anxiety, trauma, high conflict couples, families, parenting skills, stress management & anger management.
She obtained her M.A in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in 2017. Tina utilizes an integrative approach which primarily consists of CBT, TF-CBT, DBT and Family systems. Tina has also received training in Gottman Couples Therapy Level 1 & 2.
Tina’s philosophy to counseling is to treat each person, couple or family as unique and worthy of unconditional acceptance regardless of circumstances or struggles. She supports clients by being on their side, challenging and encouraging them as they find healing emotionally, physically and spiritually – taking a holistic approach to therapy. She provides counseling as both a platform and a pathway to growth and healing by creating a safe environment where clients explore individual thoughts and feelings. As Tina establishes healthy therapeutic relationships, she helps clients embark on a journey of self-discovery that promotes self-awareness and development of new healthy behavior patterns that enhance a clients’ holistic well-being.
